I have been dying to get the best electric smoker for fish for the longest time. I may be a newbie when it comes to smoking meats but I sure love fish. I can tell a fish that really tastes good from one that only looks good. I was really excited when I first tried smoked fish and I have searched for the best smoker that I can use for fish since then.
It’s a good thing that some of my buddies are avid meat smokers. They had a lot of ideas about different smoker recipes and they are familiar with the different brands of smokers and smoking machines. I practically learned my first lessons in slow smoking and fish smoking from these guys.
After getting all the recommendations and tips my buds gave me, here are two of the best options that I found. I’m talking about the Masterbuilt 20070910 30-Inch Electric Smokehouse Smoker and the Bradley BTIS1 Original Fully Automatic 4-Rack Outdoor Food Smoker. I know that these are two very popular brands and I think they’re very reliable electric smokers.
Let me present to you my very own electric smoker reviews about these two products. I would love to share my thoughts and impressions about each of these two options.
OPTION 1: Masterbuilt 20070910 30-Inch Electric Smoker
Perfect Temperature Range
I know that some folks out there are complaining that electric type smoking machines don’t reach certain temperatures that would have been perfect for certain types of meat. However, since this smoker can reach up to 275 degrees Fahrenheit, it’s just right for smoking fish. That’s enough to bring a big smile on my face.
One of my buddies explained that the outside temperature can affect the smoker’s performance if it isn’t insulated. I’m glad this one is insulated.
- Digital Thermometer
I’m practically an idiot when it comes to reading those bar thermometers. I’m glad that this thing has a digital display.
Of the two smokers being reviewed, this one is more affordable. I basically get the same performance from this Masterbuilt smoker for a lower price.
OPTION 2: Bradley BTIS1 Outdoor Food Smoker
Wood Bisquette Feeding System
This is the feature from the Bradley smoker that really impressed me. It allows me to add wood chips without having to open the door thus you don’t lose heat during the whole smoking process.
- Perfect Temperature Range
Just like the Masterbuilt electric smoker above, the Bradley BTIS1 Outdoor Food Smoker also keeps to the perfect fish smoking temperature range. It can maintain the temperature from 180 t0 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Large Capacity
Just like the Masterbuilt model we’re reviewing, this Bradley also has four racks. This simply means more room for more meat.
